HOLISTIC APPROACH.
A freely moving and aligned spine keeps the body
functioning at its optimal level.
CHIROPRACTIC care is a holistic, preventative approach to health care that relieves pain, prevents disease and keeps the body functioning at its best. It addresses all the body systems through the spinal cord (which is an extension of the brain) that is protected by the vertebrae and the spinal column and carries all the nerves that go to every tissue in the body. Proper nerve supply is vital to the optimal functioning of the entire body. When the vertebral joints are misaligned they can affect the nerves and interfere with the flow of energy. This interference in the nerve supply can have various negative effects on the body and its performance.
By adjusting these misalignments (called vertebral SUBLUXATION) the proper function of the nervous system and the entire body is restored.
What Causes SUBLUXATIONS?
LIFE! Life can be tough on the body, particularly the spine. JUMPING, TWISTING, FALLING, PULLING, TUGGING, RACING, BIRTHING, CONFINEMENT AND MORE can lead to SUBLUXATIONS of the vertebrae and can send the corresponding/integrated nervous system into disease and sickness.
*Animal Chiropractic does not dispense medications, perform surgery, inject medications or attempt to replace necessary traditional veterinary care. Always call your veterinarian in case of emergency.
Initial Care
In Colorado, only a licensed chiropractor or veterinarian can legally adjust animals. Be sure to find one that is certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) or International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA), as these are the gold standard in animal chiropractic education. Dr. Rene (who is certified with the AVCA) will work closely with your veterinarian and other healthcare practitioners in order to ensure your animal receives the best care possible.
An Examination of your animal will be performed by Dr. Rene with a main focus in finding SUBLUXATIONS along the spine and the extremities.
If SUBLUXATIONS have been found, the next step is the Chiropractic ADJUSTMENT. This is a gentle thrust that restores normal motion to the spine and other joints. Animals typically enjoy their adjustments and are more relaxed afterward. Post-adjustment care instructions will be given, if needed.
Please have your intake paperwork completed before the first visit. This will ensure that Dr. Rene can review any relevant health history before seeing your animal.
